For many spring signifies an exciting time of longer warmer days but also symptoms of seasonal allergies like itchy eyes, head and sinus congestion, and sneezing. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I often discuss the many health benefits of spring cleansing with my clients and how it can recharge their liver, colon, and adrenals. This boosts metabolism, balances blood sugar, and strengthens the immune system.
After winter, our bodies and liver naturally want to detoxify. If we block this natural process of detoxification, we are more likely to suffer with seasonal allergies.
